Gold that has weathered out of the rock and collected in stream gravels and drainages — the classic pan, sluice, and trommel gold. Most of ours sit on creeks in Plumas, Sierra and Trinity Counties with documented, historic production.
Gold (and silver, copper, lead, zinc) still locked in the hard-rock vein where it formed. Each lode claim gets reconnaissance geology and sampling to verify the kind and quality of mineralization — some even include ore stockpiles or historic tailing piles.
All of our claims are unpatented. That means you own the mineral rights to the property — the right to explore and extract — but not the surface land itself. The land remains federal, administered by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service. It's the same footing generations of prospectors have worked from, and we'll walk you through exactly what it does and doesn't allow.
